The KIDS COUNT in Missouri Public Education Project compares information and statistical trends on the conditions of our state’s children and families across all 114 counties and the City of Saint Louis. Use the drop down menu to select which year you want to view.
Since 1993, Citizens for Missouri’s Children has annually published the KIDS COUNT in Missouri Data Book. Using ten indicators of child well-being, KIDS COUNT ranks all 114 Missouri counties and the City of Saint Louis. Each of the 115 counties is assigned an overall rank, using a composite of the ten outcome measures (see definitions above). One is the highest possible ranking; 115 is the lowest.
