Speak Out for Kids Luncheon- October 25, 2006

300 individuals from across the state gathered at CMC's annual Speak Out for Kids Luncheon, held at the Chase Park Plaza in St.Louis on October 25. Keynote Speaker Victor Rivas Rivers, Hollywood actor and national spokesperson for the National Network to End Domestic Violence, delivered a stirring address that detailed his upbringing in an abusive household and how he overcame all obstacles to become a success and an advocate for abused and neglected children.

CMC also awarded the Eleanore J. Best Award for Outstanding Service on behalf of children to Dr. E. Terrence Jones and David Garino.

Mike Roberts, a KSDK Newschannel 5 weathercaster, served as the master of ceremonies. Major sponsors of the event included Emerson, HealthCare USA, St. Louis Business Journal, and Moore Computing, LLP. Twenty other organizations and individuals also provided sponsorship support.
