Candidate Training- June 16, 2006
Candidates from across the state gathered in Columbia on Friday, June 16 to learn about issues facing children. This Candidate Training on Children's Issues was the first event sponsored by the Kids First Campaign, a project of Citizens for Misouri's Children.

Carmen Schulze, executive director of the Missouri Coalition of Children's Agencies, discussed Child Protective Services in Missouri. |
Darin Preis, executive director, Central Missouri Community Action Agency and board member, Columbia Public Schools, made a presentation on Early Care and Education and the changes that have occurred over the last decade. |
CMC Program Director Cathi Martarella discussed Children's Health issues, noting that Missouri is struggling to find ways to ensure a healthy population while trying to control costs. |
